5. December
There wouldn't be much to write about today, as Stoffel has now left too and we
are just doing school in the morning and little stuff in the afternoon. But this
afternoon was a little different.
First was that the boys went to buy rope to learn how to splice. There were busy
for quiet a while - and there is still room for improvement on their slings :)
Then Nik discovered 2 dogs on the boat behind us. Of course he had to go over
there but they are still waiting for a local vet to aprrove the paperwork so the
dogs can go off board. But Nik could play with them on their boat (St. Francis
50) and they all were very happy. He spent half of the afternoon over there.
They are Portugiese Waterdogs that the owners brought over from Portugal before
they started their Atlantic crossing. The dogs are only 4 and 11 months old -
and really cute and well-traveled dogs.

And as I was standing on our trampolin watching Niklas play I suddenly saw "the
invasion".
People, people, people... walking down the dock all following the cruise ship
person for a sun set cruise.
thought it was worth a picture ...

Since this afternoon a band has been playing here in the marina. They were
setting up the stage and tents for the last few days to get the ARC party
started. The first boat are expected to come in on Sunday morning - and we are
interested in seeing what other events are going to take place here soon.
