10. September

                                            Petit St. Vincent

After school was done today we left together with Zen towards Petit St. Vincent.
Panache decided to stay a little longer in the Cays.  Petit St. Vincent is a small private island about 5 miles south of the Cays>
A small anchorage welcomed us and we dropped our hook right in front of a very exclusive resort. It is closed in Sep and Oct, but we were still invited to walk around and have a look. Wow - what can I say ! A very fine resort in a tropical setting, small stone cottages enclosed in palm trees with white beaches all around, just a dream. The resort belongs to the "Leading hotels of the World" and we can just confirm that.

On the late afternoon we went to hunt down some dinner. Petite Martinique is another island right next to Petit St. Vincent, just a 5 minute dinghy ride. The first restaurant was closed, luckily the second was open. The waitress said the cook went already home, but she was nice enough to go and get him off his couch to cook us dinner.
The highlight was when Mathias was chasing down a bug on his plate :)), but over all the food was good. I had a "roti", a local dish, it's shredded curry chicken with potatoes wrapped in dough. It was good, and really cheap.

Tomorrow we will head south towards Grenada to put Cataway on the dry for the time we are back in Florida and Germany.
Then we will be back in regular internet reach and all my blogs will be posted.
Thanks to his Blackberry it was always possible to stay in touch with the office, even in the remote Cays he had phone and email reception. But the boys and I will be happy to have the fast Grenadian internet connection and our skype back.
